Recently, IM Motors officially announced that its all-new model, the IM L6, will adopt advanced VMC intelligent digital chassis technology and is planned to showcase the actual vehicle at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, with the new car set to be officially launched in May this year. The biggest highlight of this new technology is its self-developed full-stack approach, which completely breaks away from the traditional chassis technology iteration limitations imposed by suppliers.
AutoCango learned from the public information that, the VMC (Vehicle Motion Control) intelligent digital chassis technology installed in the IM L6 is the first-generation technology developed by IM Motors. This technology can uniformly control advanced chassis hardware such as rear-wheel steering, intelligent electronic shock absorbers, air suspension, and electric drive. This means that actions such as acceleration, braking, steering, and shock absorption of the vehicle will no longer be isolated but can achieve coordinated control of the vehicle's attitude in six degrees of freedom in the X, Y, and Z directions. This design enables the IM L6 to achieve innovative functions such as "crab walking," breaking the conventional physical limits of ordinary vehicles and providing drivers with a more outstanding driving experience.
Furthermore, another advantage of the VMC intelligent digital chassis technology is its ability to integrate advanced high-end chassis hardware such as rear-wheel steering systems, intelligent electronic shock absorbers, and closed-loop air suspension, thereby providing drivers with a more agile and comprehensive driving experience. With the support of VMC technology, IM Motors is also committed to creating a higher level of intelligent driving experience for users, helping drivers deal with complex driving scenarios such as road-edge driving, narrow road turning, and intelligent parking more easily and freely.
