Lynk & Co has unveiled its second sedan, the 07 EM-P, in China, expanding its lineup with a plug-in hybrid offering.
Developed on the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform, the 07 EM-P shares design elements with the previously launched Lynk & Co 08 EM-P SUV. Sized similarly to a Toyota Camry, the sedan features distinctive 'h' shaped LED running lights and a full-width headlight group, with aerodynamic elements like hidden door handles. The interior echoes the Lynk & Co 08, equipped with a 12.3-inch LCD instrument screen and a 15.4-inch central control screen featuring the Lynk Flyme Auto Meizu HMI system.
The Lynk & Co 07 EM-P operates on a 1.5T EM-P plug-in hybrid system, utilizing the BHE15-BFZ engine with an inline four-cylinder turbo engine generating up to 120 kW of power. Electric motor options, though unspecified, are expected to mirror those in the 08 EM-P, resulting in two variants with total system powers of 280 kW and 436 kW. The lower-powered version integrates a 160 kW front axle electric motor, boasting a 1,400 km range under the CLTC testing cycle and a 102 km all-electric range. Additionally, the Lynk & Co 07 EM-P supports 3.3 kilowatts of external discharge, enhancing its flexibility.
With a focus on performance, the higher-powered variant adds a 156 kW motor to the rear axle, resulting in a total system torque of 905 Nm. Both versions feature a 18.99 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery from CALB.
The Lynk & Co 07 EM-P demonstrates the brand's commitment to offering versatile and efficient plug-in hybrid solutions in the Chinese market.
