Avatr Inaugurates 5G Digital-AI Super Factory in Chongqing  


On July 27, Avatr has officially launched its 5G Digital-AI Factory in Chongqing, a joint project by Changan Automobile, Huawei, and China Unicom. Designed as a full-process 5G digital-AI flexible super factory, the facility employs over 40 technologies including 5G connectivity, artificial intelligence, and digital twinning to achieve 100% equipment automation. With a production cycle of one vehicle per minute, the plant supports multi-brand co-production capabilities while realizing end-to-end digital manufacturing processes from component stamping to final assembly. This infrastructure positions Avatr for scalable premium EV production with enhanced quality control protocols.  



Huawei's Richard Yu Confirms Redesigned AITO M7 Launch in September  


Richard Yu, Huawei's Managing Director and Chairman of the Terminal BG, announced via Weibo that the revamped AITO M7 will debut in September featuring comprehensive redesigns. The model will offer both range-extended and pure-electric powertrain options, introducing a new Coral Red exterior color.  



NEV Innovation Center and Geely Establish Joint Automotive Chip Lab  


The National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center (NEVIC) and Geely Auto have co-founded the "Automotive Chip Testing Joint Innovation Laboratory." This collaboration will advance research on SerDes (Serializer/Deserializer) chips for vehicle controllers, develop DDR memory validation protocols, and establish standardized testing methodologies for automotive-grade semiconductors.



World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Summit Set for October 16-18 in Beijing  


The 2025 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle (WICV) Summit will convene at Beijing Yizhuang International Convention Center from October 16-18, co-hosted by MIIT, MOT, and Beijing Municipal Government. The event maintains its "3+3+6+N" framework: three plenary sessions (opening/closing ceremonies + main conference), three specialized meetings (Global Auto Cooperation Roundtable, Policy Dialogue, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Synergy Forum), and six thematic forums covering governance, AI integration, cybersecurity, data ecosystems, technological innovation, and application scenarios.
