Avatr Targets 50+ Markets with Huawei ADS 4 Upgrades  

At the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, Avatr Technology President Chen Zhuo announced plans to expand into over 50 countries this year, targeting 161 overseas sales channels and an overseas sales of 15,000 units. The brand will upgrade its Avatr 06 to Huawei’s QIANKUN ADS 4 autonomous driving system in Q3 2025, followed by updates for the Avatr 11, 12, and 07 models.

Horizon Robotics, Denso Forge ADAS Alliance

Horizon Robotics has struck a strategic partnership with automotive supplier giant Denso to co-develop high-performance ADAS solutions. The collaboration will combine Horizon’s Journey-series computing platforms with Denso’s expertise in vehicle integration, aiming to deliver scalable L2+ systems for global automakers.

Momenta Hits 130+ Models with Six New OEM Partners

Autonomous driving firm Momenta revealed expanded collaborations with six automakers—Buick, FAW-Toyota, Honda China, Cadillac, SAIC-Audi, and IM Motors—at the Shanghai Auto Show. The company now supports over 130 mass-production models, with fleet deployments accelerating sharply: its first 100,000 vehicles took two years to achieve, the next 100,000 just six months, and a third 100,000 milestone is expected by May 2025.

Sinotruk, Toyota Deepen Hydrogen Truck Partnership  

China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (Sinotruk) and Toyota Motor signed a strategic agreement in Nagoya, Japan, to co-develop hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicles. Their jointly engineered fuel cell tractor trucks have already entered batch production, with plans to expand into R&D, pilot operations, and innovative business models for hydrogen logistics. The pact aligns with China’s national hydrogen infrastructure push and Toyota’s multi-pathway carbon neutrality goals.
