BYD Reports 34% Net Profit Growth for 2024, Proposes Dividend  


March 24 — BYD disclosed 2024 revenue of RMB 777.102 billion (USD 119.55 billion*), up 29.02% YoY, with net profit attributable to shareholders rising 34% to RMB 40.254 billion (USD 6.19 billion*). The automaker proposed a cash dividend of RMB 39.74 per 10 shares (USD 6.11*).  



Huawei-Backed “Shangjie” Brand to Debut April 10, May Use SAIC’s Range-Extender Tech  


March 24 — Huawei’s smart car alliance brand Shangjie will launch on April 10, sources told the media. Its first model, adapted from an existing SAIC vehicle, is expected to feature SAIC’s range-extender system as Huawei focuses on cost-cutting for its autonomous driving and cockpit solutions.  



iCAR V23 Intelligent Driving Edition Launches in Shanghai from RMB 119,800


March 22 — Chery’s iCAR brand unveiled the V23 Intelligent Driving Edition in Shanghai, priced at RMB 119,800–149,800 (USD 18,430–23,046*). Equipped with the Chery Falcon Pilot 500 system, it uses Horizon J3 + TDA4 chips and 22 sensors (8MP front camera, 4 surround-view cameras, 5 mmWave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars) to enable 23 ADAS functions, including highway cruising and automated parking.
