BYD has officially launched the Seal 06 DM-i Touring variant with manufacturer-suggested retail prices ranging from RMB 109,800 to RMB 129,800 (≈USD 15,300–18,000). Featuring standard wagon styling, the model expands mainstream consumer options beyond sedans and SUVs. Equipped with BYD's fifth-generation DM technology, it achieves a combined range of 2,000 km on full fuel and charge with a certified NEDC fuel consumption of 3.15L/100km in charge-sustaining mode. Standard configurations includes the God's Eye C intelligent driving assistance system (DiPilot 100) integrating over 20 functions such as highway navigation assist and lane-changing via turn signal. The touring variant also features active damping suspension with DiSus-C intelligent body control system, complemented by front MacPherson and rear multi-link independent suspension configurations.

XPeng G7 Debuts at RMB 195,800 with Industry-Leading AI Capabilities  

On July 3, XPeng Motors has unveiled the G7 AI Smart Family SUV in three variants: 602 Long Range Max (RMB 195,800 ≈USD 27,200), 702 Ultra Long Range Max (RMB 205,800 ≈USD 28,600), and 702 Ultra Long Range Ultra (RMB 225,800 ≈USD 31,400). Market delivery commences immediately. As the world's first L3-capable computing platform vehicle, the G7 delivers 2250 TOPS of effective computing power and debuts onboard VLA+VLM (Visual Language Assistant/Visual Language Model) technology. Key features include Lightscape AR-HUD, Tai Chi AI chassis, and Super Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), establishing new benchmarks for intelligent driving integration in production vehicles.

CAAM: May Auto Goods Exports Hit USD 20.67 Billion, Up 12.2% YoY  

According to China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) data compiled from customs statistics, China's automotive goods trade reached USD 25.06 billion in May 2025 – an 8.5% month-on-month and 3.2% year-on-year increase. Imports totaled USD 4.38 billion (up 18.4% MoM, down 25% YoY), while exports grew to USD 20.67 billion (up 6.6% MoM, 12.2% YoY). Cumulative January-May automotive goods trade stood at USD 107.73 billion, reflecting a 2.7% YoY decrease. Import value declined 32.4% YoY to USD 17.66 billion, whereas exports rose 6.5% YoY to USD 90.07 billion during this five-month period.

Changan Auto H1 Sales Reach 1.355 Million Units with 1.59% Growth  

Changan Automobile reported June 2025 sales of 235,100 vehicles, marking a 4.48% year-on-year increase. First-half cumulative sales totaled 1,355,300 units, representing 1.59% growth over the same period last year. Notably, new energy vehicle (NEV) sales surged 49.05% YoY to 451,700 units, demonstrating accelerated electrification momentum within the company's product portfolio and aligning with broader industry electrification trends.

Chery Group June Sales Jump 16.6% to 233,607 Units  

Chery Group achieved June 2025 sales of 233,607 vehicles, a 16.6% year-on-year increase. Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. contributed 219,044 units to this total (up 15.9% YoY). NEV sales soared 59.6% YoY to 71,582 units, while exports grew 9.6% to 106,330 vehicles. First-half cumulative sales reached 1,260,124 units, maintaining robust 14.5% growth momentum.
