BYD “Shenzhen” Sets Sail for Europe with More Than 6,800 NEVs on Board  


The world’s second-largest car carrier, BYD’s roll-on/roll-off vessel “Shenzhen,” left Xiaomo International Logistics Port in Shenzhen on 9 July bound for Europe, with plans to berth at the Belgian port of Zeebrugge. The ship, measuring 219.9 m in length and 37.3 m in beam, features 16 decks and a capacity of 9,200 vehicle spaces. It is powered by a dual-fuel LNG propulsion system that meets the latest IMO environmental rules. More than 6,800 BYD new-energy vehicles were loaded, including 1,105 units produced at the company’s Shenshan base .



Zeekr Unveils Luxury PHEV-dedicated SEA-S Architecture  


On 9 July, Zeekr officially released theSEA-S architecture, a platform purpose-built for premium plug-in hybrid vehicles. Developed from the brand’s pure-electric SEA structure, the system supports a full-stack 900 V electrical backbone. The first model to use the architecture, the Zeekr 9X, debuts a 70 kWh 6C hybrid battery that delivers 380 km of all-electric range and can charge from 20 % to 80 % in nine minutes at a 6C rate. Haohan-S also introduces the “Dinghai” AI digital chassis, whose self-developed algorithms integrate ADAS computing power and sensor data to coordinate chassis, powertrain and cabin actuators in real time.



Avatr Signs General-distributor Agreement With Egypt’s Kasrawy Group  


Avatr Technology and Egypt’s Kasrawy Group recently concluded a general-distributor contract in Cairo. The deal marks Avatr’s first footprint in Africa, following its earlier entries into the UAE, Qatar and Jordan, and advances the brand’s global expansion strategy.



Xiaomi Auto Deliveries Top 300,000 Units in 15 Months  


Xiaomi Auto announced on 10 July that cumulative deliveries have exceeded 300,000 units. The company reached the 200,000-unit milestone on 18 March, meaning the latest 100,000 units were added in roughly four months. The current line-up comprises the SU7, SU7 Ultra and the newly introduced YU7 SUV. The YU7, launched on 26 June, is offered in three trims: Standard at RMB 253,500 (about USD 35,200), Pro at RMB 279,900 (about USD 38,900) and Max at RMB 329,900 (about USD 45,800). Within one hour of order opening, the model recorded 289,000 pre-orders; 240,000 of those were locked within 18 hours .
