Deepal Celebrates 400,000th Vehicle Roll-Off

Deepal Motor, a sub-brand under Changan Automobile, celebrated its 400,000th vehicle rolled off the assembly line on December 30th.

Deepal, focusing on new energy vehicles, is an important arm for Changan to explore NEV market globally. Deepal achieved this 400,000th vehicle production milestone in just 29 months, according to the company. The delivery performance is also released. In December, Deepal has delivered over 36,000 units, and for the whole year of 2024, Deepal’s cumulative delivery volume is expected to exceed 240,000 units.

Launch of Deepal Classic SL03

On the celebration event, Deepal launched a limited sale of 4,000 units of the Deepal Classic • SL03 version at an astonishing price of only 119,900 yuan (approximately $16,400). The car is known as “the first sports coupe for young people”, and has earned 150,000 users worldwide.

In order to cater to young people, the Deepal Classic • SL03 offers all the hot functions, all tailored for the younger generation, such as:

-        a classic coupe body design

-        frameless doors

-        electric memory liftback doors

-        hidden door handles

-        19-inch enclosed wheels

As a sport coupe, powertrain is crucial. Deepal Classic • SL03 has a 58.kWH high-capacity ternary lithium battery, and a 0-100 km/h sprint of 5.9 seconds. The car offers a CLTC range of 515km.

Though the car is targeting young people and 100,000 yuan market segment, the car is equipped with essential intelligent functions, presenting its high cost-effectiveness.

Let’s check out its intelligent cabin. Inside the car, we can see a 14.6-inch sunflower central control screen in the front row, which supports gesture control and facial recognition, with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip.

In addition, Deepal Classic • SL03 is serious about the intelligent driving functions, here are the main intelligent functions:

Deepal 2025 NEV Sales Target

Deng Chenghao, the President of Deepal shared with the media the global annual sales target of Deepal. In 2025, Deepal is targeting a total sales of  500,000 NEVs, which is doubled volume of 2024 annual target. To divide the annual target, Deepal is expecting to sell 400,000 units in China market, and 100,000 units for overseas market.

As for Changan is expanding European market in 2025, it is for sure that global potential NEV users will have the chance of buying more cost-effective intelligent electric vehicles from Deepal.
