Geely Galaxy A7 Hybrid Sedan Hits 10,000 Orders in 24 Hours

The Geely Galaxy A7 hybrid sedan officially entered the market on August 8. In the first 24 hours of releasing, the Geely Galaxy announced that A7 secured over 10,000 firm orders.

Positioned as a hybrid sedan for family users, the A7 offers 7 trims with 70km or 150km pure-electric CLTC ranges, pricing from RMB 81,800 to RMB 117,800 (≈ USD 11,400 - USD 16,400), putting it squarely up against the segment leaders, BYD Qin L DM-I and Seal 06 DM-i.

Dubbed a “game-changer for hybrid family sedans”, the A7 combines astonishing low pricing strategy and the advanced and comprehensive hi-tech configurations.

Spacious Design and Aerodynamic Excellence

The A7 measures 4918mm (Long) X 1905mm (Wide) X 1495mm (High), with a 2845mm wheelbase (longest in the segment), yielding a spacious interior:

- 4.2 square meters (largest in its class)

- 950mm rear-seat leg room (largest in its class)

- 132mm rear-seat knee room (largest in its class)

The exterior design follows Geely's "Ripple Aesthetics" design language, featuring a 3.2-metre ling full-width LED light bar and a "Sunrise" taillights. The car offers six traditional Chinese-inspired color options. The car experiences 21 aerodynamic optimizations, resulting a segment-low 0.229Cd drag coefficient.

Leveraging expertise from Lotus’ chassis adjustment and a deep AI model integration co-developed by Geely and German road-load data libraries, the A7 has a great improvement in comfort, body stability.

Cutting-Edge Powertrain and Fuel Efficiency

A7’s excellent fuel consumption also makes it an attracting point for family users., the Benefiting Thor AI Hybrid 2.0 powertrain, and the industry-first "Stellar AI Cloud Powertrain 2.0" AI engine, A7 records a fuel consumption of 2.67L/100km in hybrid mode under CLTC conditions.

Advanced Cabin Tech and ADAS Systems

Inside the cabin, the A7 is equipped with the latest Flyme Auto system, featuring:

In terms of the ADAS technology, 2 of A7’s 7 trims will use basic driving assistant system, while another 5 trims will adopt G-Pilot H3 solution, armed with 11 HD cameras, 3 mm-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and mainstream computing power, enabling highway NOA and APA automated parking.

Geely Galaxy Brand Growth and Outlook for A7

Launched in February 2023, the Geely Galaxy brand has cumulatively sold over 1 million vehicles.
