Luxeed V9 Flagship MPV Market Release and Variant Pricing
On May 15, 2026, Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) officially launched its first flagship MPV model, the Luxeed V9. Positioned as a panoramic intelligent flagship MPV, the new model line comprises four distinct commercial configurations:
- The entry-level Luxeed V9 Max is priced at RMB 389,800 (USD 56,500)
- The Max+ trim at RMB 429,800 (USD 62,300)
- The Ultra version at RMB 459,800 (USD 66,600)
- The Ultra+ variant at RMB 519,800 (USD 75,300).
The Luxeed V9 features full-size proportions to optimize cabin spatial layout. The vehicle measures 5,359 mm in length, 2,009 mm in width, and 1,879 mm in height, anchored by a 3,250 mm wheelbase. To address premium aesthetic requirements, the exterior is offered in four color schemes: Glory Purple, Snowy White, Deep Sea Blue, and Gilded Black. The internal cabin environment provides three distinct color choices: Sunset Purple, Youth Apricot, and Red Tea Orange. HIMA confirmed that consumer deliveries are scheduled to commence in early June.
Custom Turing Chassis Platform and Mechanical Architecture
The vehicle architecture is built entirely on the flagship 9-series Huawei Turing MPV customized platform. The mechanical suspension design adopts a front double-wishbone configuration paired with a rear H-arm multi-link independent setup to manage road vibrations. A primary technical highlight is the inclusion of a standard active rear-wheel steering system across the entire model lineup. The rear wheels support a maximum turning angle of ±7°, allowing the full-size luxury vehicle to achieve a minimum turning radius of 5.35 meters, matching the turning agility of typical A-segment compact cars. The specialized chassis system introduces a low-speed "Crab Walk" mode, facilitating maneuverability within highly restricted urban environments or narrow parking stalls.
According to HIMA, the Luxeed V9 achieves a 500 mm water wading depth and records a 100-0 km/h braking distance of 35.8 meters. The integration of continuous damping control (CDC) allows the chassis software to pre-scan upcoming potholes and road surface irregularities, executing millisecond-level damping adjustments.
Additionally, the chassis tuning incorporates a motion-sickness mitigation system that limits body roll and heave to preserve passenger equilibrium.
Passenger Cabin Safety and High-Strength Material Layout
The structural safety framework of the Luxeed V9 is engineered around a comprehensive "11 Horizontal, 6 Longitudinal" white body layout. The manufacturing process utilizes a specialized blend of high-strength steel, hot-formed steel, and aluminum alloy, which together comprise 91.6% of the vehicle’s core body shell. Within this structural mix, submarine-grade hot-formed steel accounts for a 25.1% share. This structural rigidity forms a highly protective passenger cell designed to mitigate impacts across complex multi-directional collision profiles.
The interior cabin introduces several luxury convenience features tailored for high-end business and family travel. The vehicle debuts a standard "Constant Cold" intelligent refrigerator with a capacity of 10.9 liters, supporting dual-temperature zone operations ranging from -6°C to 15°C and 35°C to 50°C. For health tracking, the V9 integrates an automotive-industry first on-board oxygen concentrator, providing a high-volume supply rate of 8 to 10 liters per minute. The acoustic experience is managed by the high-specification HUAWEI SOUND Ultimate series, complementing the premium ambient noise insulation.
Next-Generation Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 Integration
Intelligence and environmental perception are supported by 38 integrated sensors distributed around the vehicle perimeter. The Luxeed V9 marks the automotive industry’s first mass-produced MPV to be equipped with an advanced 896-line image-grade Lidar system. This perception cluster will serve as the core hardware foundation to support the first wave of over-the-air (OTA) updates to the next-generation Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving system. HIMA plans to initiate the official software deployment to customer fleets between late June and early July.
The upcoming ADS 5 software architecture operates on a high-capacity cloud-based AI computing infrastructure delivering 60 EFLOPS of processing power, running the unified WEWA 2.0 software framework. The automated pilot system can dynamically evaluate challenging traffic environments, allowing the vehicle to execute autonomous lane adjustments, speed reductions, horn alerts, and headlight flashes to ensure safe passage. According to HIMA, the entire automated driving system features a six-fold safety hardware redundancy layout, establishing a fully fail-safe electronic architecture during autonomous navigation.
