Xinjiang’s Horgos Port Sees Record Auto Exports with 8.5% YoY Growth


According to reports on September 18, the Horgos Port in Xinjiang has set a new record for automobile exports this year, with over 600 vehicles daily shipped to Belt and Road Initiative countries including Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. As China’s largest land port for auto exports, Horgos has experienced rapid growth. Customs data show that from January to August 2025, the port exported 258,000 vehicles, an increase of 8.5% year-on-year, including 102,000 electric vehicles, up 45.2%.



China’s NEV Sales Surpass 40 Million Units  


At a press conference on September 18 focusing on the achievements of the 14th Five-Year Plan, Minister of Science and Technology Yin Hejun announced that cumulative sales of new energy vehicles in China have exceeded 40 million units. The country has maintained its position as the global leader in NEV production and sales for ten consecutive years, contributing significantly to worldwide carbon reduction goals.
