Leapmotor Launches Pre-sale of C16 SUV and Receives 11950 Orders in 24 Hours

Leapmotor, a Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturer, debuts at the Beijing Auto Show 2024 with the announcement of a pre-sale event for its flagship C16 SUV, a medium to large six-seater model designed to meet a variety of family travel demands.

The much-anticipated introduction of C16 allows potential purchasers to make a 1,000-yuan deposit and receive a 5,000-yuan pre-sale discount on the final purchase price. The top-spec C16 model is reasonably priced at less than 200,000 yuan.

The C16 SUV, the flagship model of Leapmotor's LEAP 3.0 technology architecture, offers a seamless marriage of an MPV's look and an SUV's robust features. With a space utilization rate of up to 67%, the C16 maximizes internal space and comfort.

CTC 2.0 (Cell-to-Chassis) technology is used in the design to guarantee the battery management module is seamlessly integrated into the battery pack, resulting in a significant gain in internal height space and a level floor design. The C16 also features a 15.6-inch high-definition rear-seat ceiling screen that can be used for a variety of leisure activities.

Furthermore, it boasts Leapmotor's superior 21-speaker luxury sound system with 7.1.4 channels, which provides an immersive music experience. Other notable features include a new edition of the LEAP operating system, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, a 14.6-inch 2.5K high-definition central control panel, advanced driving assistance systems with LiDAR and OrinX, a panoramic sunroof, and an electronic tailgate.

Power and Efficiency

The C16 debuts Leapmotor's all-domain 800V high-voltage silicon carbide platform, which includes variants with range-extended electric and battery-electric powertrains. This results in outstanding charging efficiency, with the battery capacity increasing from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes.
