Leapmotor’s GRANDE TIANJIN Sets Sail, Accelerating Global NEV Expansion

Leapmotor and Grimaldi Group Launch GRANDE TIANJIN Vessel for NEV Export

Recently, Chinese NEV startup Leapmotor jointly held the "GRANDE TIANJIN" Naming and First Voyage Delivery Ceremony with Grimaldi Group, the world-leading operator of roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) multipurpose vessels and pure car & truck carriers (PCTC).

“GRANDE TIANJIN”, the newly-added vessel to Grimaldi Group’s fleet, is built especially for transporting cars. From Mid-August, the vessel will carry over 2,500 brand-new Leapmotor NEVs to Europe in its maiden voyage.

Strengthened Cooperation Driving Vehicle Export Capacity

The two parties have worked since 2022, the successful sailing of “GRANDE TIANJIN” marked not only Leapmotor’s new chapter of global expansion, but also the deepened cooperation among the two parties. Leveraging Grimaldi Group’s monthly ro-ro capacity for a maximum of 22,500 vehicle units, Leapmotor has exported more than 270,000 vehicles in Jan-Jul 2025 period.

Leapmotor Sales Milestones Show Exponential Growth

Last week, Leapmotor released a monthly sales milestone of 50,129 units of NEVs delivered, marking its fifth consecutive monthly leadership. Cumulatively, Leapmotor sold 271,793 units in the first 7 months in 2025, representing a 149% YoY surge.

International Market Penetration Supported by Strategic Partnerships

Starting cooperation with Stellantis Group back in 2023, Leapmotor rapidly penetrated the overseas market leveraging Stellantis’ well-established sales networks and strong brand reputation. Leapmotor has offered T03, C10 EV and C10 EREV in more than 20 international markets and 550+ sales networks across Europe, Middle East, Africa, South-east Asia, and South America.
