On Huawei’s Extraordinary Brand Festival, held on the 10th of September, 2024, in Shenzhen, HIMA Alliance unveiled Luxeed R7.

Position and Variants

The car is produced by Huawei and Chery, which is the second model under the brand Luxeed, following the Luxeed S7. R7, positioned as a pure electric coupe SUV, is available in three trims, the Pro, the Max, and the Ultra.

The Luxeed R7 wants to root in the smart EV market in China by its smart features and the impressive powertrain.

Intelligent Design and Smart Features

Inside the cockpit, the car is powered by Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4, and adopts a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel, a floating central control screen, presenting a feel of future. The Luxeed R7 is also equipped with Huawei's advanced smart driving system, ADS 3.0, which utilized the latest end-to-end architecture, presenting a humanized driving experience.

Powertrain and Performance

In terms of powertrain, the Luxeed R7 offers both single and dual motors for consumers to choose. The car, built on the 800V carbon silicon high-voltage platform, enables the car to achieve a CLTC range of up to 802km.

It is worth mentioning that the car adopts a chassis combined the front virtual kingpin double wishbone and the rear five-link suspension combination, and offers CDC and air suspension system for all trims, which is quite alluring.

Sales Performance

According to market data, the Luxeed S7 sold 425 units in this August. The sales performance of the Luxeed S7 is not satisfying. HIMA announced that the Luxeed R7 received over 10,000 pre-orders within 24 hours after the launch. Will R7 become a black horse? We will keep you updated.
