Recently, official images of the 2024 Hongqi H9 were unveiled, showcasing subtle adjustments to its exterior design. Relying on information from previous Ministry of Industry and Information Technology filings, the 2024 Hongqi H9 is reported to carry three powertrains: 1.8T, 2.5T, and 3.0T—all of which see improved performance parameters. The inclusion of a 2.0T engine in its changed application suggests we may also see models equipped with this engine in the future.
Retaining the grandeur of its current design, improvements to the Hongqi H9's aesthetics can be seen in its finer details. The front carries new arrow-feather styled LED daytime running lights for a more technologically-enhanced look. Its vertical waterfall grille appears magnified, with modifications made to both the high and low beam headlights and the lower surround.
The side of the body carries the brand's signature red flags on the front fenders, and new wheel designs also make a debut. The rear hosts the same tail light designs, but the lower surround has been remodeled with diffuser-like additions and separated exhaust to create the illusion of quad-barrels. Dimensions stay mostly identical to the existing model, measuring in at 5137/1904/1498mm with a wheelbase of 3060mm.
As for the powertrain, the top-end 3.0T engine now delivers an impressive 248 kW or 337 horsepower, showing significant enhancement compared to its current model. The option for a 2.0T engine also remains a possibility.
