The SAIC H5 is finally commenced pre-sale this Monday during Huawei's Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) Autumn Launch Event. The SAIC H5, co-developed by Huawei and SAIC, touted as the most affordable model under HIMA with the starting pre-sale price set at RMB 169,800 (≈ USD 23,600), becoming the first HIMA model positioned below RMB 200,000.
Innovative Technology Meets Affordable Pricing
The model is scheduled for September official market launch. While just after 18 hours after the start of the pre-sale, the model achieved 50,000 preliminary orders. As the first model featuring HUAWEI ADS 4 advanced driver-assistance system in HIMA products in sub-RMB 200,000 segment vehicles, the H5 is receiving good performance expectations from industries analysts. Orient Securities research analysis predicted that the H5 would be poised to become a hot-seller with its outstanding intelligence configurations, product capability, and cost-performance ratio.
Multiple Powertrain Variants for Diverse Needs
What special about the model, let’s have a quick look at all its key features. According to Huawei's Richard Yu, the mid-sized SUC enjoys a spacious design of 4,780 in length, 1,910 in width, and 1,664mm in height, with a 2,840mm wheelbase.
The model offers both EREV and BEV variants, EREV (1,360km CLTC range, 4.44L/100km fuel consumption) and BEV (655km CLTC range, 13.4kWh/100km energy efficiency).
