CAAM: September NEVs Production and Sales See Significant Year-on-Year Increase
Data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) shows that in September, China's vehicle production and sales reached 2.796 million and 2.809 million units, respectively, with month-on-month increase of 12.2% and 14.5%, and year-on-year decreases of 1.9% and 1.7%, respectively. Among them, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 1.307 million and 1.287 million units, with year-on-year increases of 48.8% and 42.3%, respectively, accounting for 45.8% of the total new vehicle sales. China's vehicle exports reached 539,000 units, with a month-on-month increase of 5.4% and a year-on-year increase of 21.4%. Among them, the export of pure electric vehicles reached 89,000 units, with a month-on-month increase of 1.1% and a year-on-year decrease of 3.6%; the export of plug-in hybrid vehicles reached 22,000 units, with a month-on-month decrease of 0.1% and a year-on-year increase of 490%.
China National Bureau of Statistics: Prices of New Energy and Fuel-Powered Passenger Cars in September Decreased by 6.9% and 6.1% Respectively
On October 13th, the National Bureau of Statistics of China announced the national CPI (Consumer Price Index) data. In September, the consumer market operated overall steadily, with prices remaining basically stable. The national CPI was flat month-on-month and rose by 0.4% year-on-year. Among non-food items, energy prices fell by 3.5%, with the decline expanding by 2.5 percentage points from the previous month. The prices of industrial consumer goods excluding energy fell by 0.2%, with the decline remaining the same as the previous month. Among them, the prices of new energy and fuel-powered passenger cars decreased by 6.9% and 6.1%, respectively, with the declines narrowing.

BYD Plans to Launch Electric Vehicle Models Priced Between 25,000 and 30,000 Euros in Germany
Recently, BYD Executive Vice President Li Ke stated in an interview with German media that the price of BYD's first electric vehicle in Germany is likely to be between 25,000 and 30,000 euros.
