The news occurred during Xiaomi's Q1 2024 earnings call, when senior executive Lu Weibing announced that the company's car manufacturing would begin double shift operations in June.
With the increased production capacity, monthly deliveries of the SU7 model are expected to exceed 10,000 units, assisting the company in meeting its ambitious annual target.
Furthermore, Xiaomi intends to expand its sales and service network throughout China, opening 219 sales stores and 143 service centers by the end of 2024.
