XPeng AeroHT Secures USD 250 Million Series B Funding for Flying Car Production  


On July 15, XPeng AeroHT has completed a USD 250 million Series B financing round to accelerate development, mass production, and commercialization of its flying vehicles. The funding coincides with structural completion of its dedicated production facility, where equipment calibration is now underway. Scheduled for operational readiness in Q4 2025, the plant will manufacture the "Land Aircraft Carrier" modular transport system targeting 2026 customer deliveries.



Global EV & PHEV Sales Surge 24% YoY in June, Reports RhoMotion  


Worldwide sales of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles reached 1.8 million units in June 2025, marking a 24% year-on-year increase, and the H1 sales volume of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles reached 9.1 million, according to a report released by the market research firm RhoMotion on July 15. Regional analysis indicates China and Europe maintained dominance due to their electric transition.



Geely Auto and Zeekr Technology Sign Definitive Merger Agreement  


Geely Automobile Holdings has entered a binding agreement to acquire all outstanding shares of Zeekr Technology not already under its ownership. Zeekr shareholders may elect cash compensation or share exchange in Geely Auto. The transaction advances Geely Holding Group’s "One Geely Action" consolidation strategy announced in its 2024 Taizhou Declaration. Chairman Li Shufu stated: "This merger lays solid groundwork for Geely Auto’s future growth."



China EV100: Level 2 ADAS Penetration Exceeds 50%, Leading Globally  


Zhang Yongwei, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of China EV100, revealed at the 2025 New Quality Development Forum for Intelligent NEVs that Level 2 advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) now feature in over 50% of new vehicles sold in China—the world’s highest adoption rate. Parking-assist technologies are proliferating particularly rapidly, with penetration exceeding 20% in mid-to-high-end segments as automakers standardize these features. This technological acceleration aligns with China’s strategic focus on intelligent vehicle ecosystems and infrastructure readiness for higher automation levels.
