First Indonesia-Built XPeng X9 Delivered at Jakarta Auto Show  

XPeng Motors has delivered the first locally produced X9 MPV to an Indonesian customer during the 2025 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS). This milestone launches XPeng’s global localized production strategy, with its Jakarta facility serving as the export hub for right-hand-drive markets. The plant currently operates at 50,000-unit annual capacity, scalable to 150,000 units by 2027.

2026 Geely Galaxy E5 EV Starts at USD 15,300 with 610km Range  

Geely’s 2026 Galaxy E5 electric SUV maintains its 2024 price range of RMB 109,800–145,800 (≈USD 15,300–20,300) across five trims. All models feature a 160kW/320N·m motor enabling 0–100km/h acceleration in 6.9 seconds. The long-range variant upgrades to a 68.39kWh ShenDun Short Blade battery for 610km CLTC range, supporting 20-minute DC fast charging (30–80% SOC)., with a 6.5kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability.  

Leapmotor B01 EV Debuts at RMB USD 12,500 with SA8295P Cockpit  

Leapmotor has launched the B01 electric sedan in six configurations priced from RMB 89,800 to 119,800 (≈USD 12,500–16,600). Based on the LEAP 3.5 architecture, it features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SA8295P cockpit chip and L2 combined driver-assistance. Select trims add lidar with Snapdragon 8650 processor. Dual motor options (132kW/160kW) pair with 56.2kWh or 67.1kWh batteries for up to 650km CLTC range, targeting tech-savvy urban commuters seeking premium connectivity at accessible price points.  

Wuling Zhiguang EV 305km MPV Launches at USD 8,000  

Wuling Zhiguang EV 305km MPV has debuted at RMB 57,800 (≈USD 8,000), featuring a 30.6kWh LFP battery from Sunwoda. The MPV achieves 305km CLTC range – a 52% improvement over its predecessor’s 201km. While retaining the 30kW/85N·m motor and 100km/h top speed, curb weight increases to 1,350kg (from 1,220kg) to accommodate enhanced thermal management and structural reinforcements for improved crash safety compliance.
