XPENG Partners with Magna’s Austrian Plant for Localized Production in Europe  


On September 15, XPENG announced a collaboration with Magna Steyr’s manufacturing facility in Graz, Austria, to leverage the plant’s existing production lines for localized vehicle production. The first project under this partnership is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2025, with initial volumes of the G6 and G9 models slated for rollout. The cooperation will later expand to include additional XPENG models, strengthening the brand’s manufacturing footprint and market responsiveness in Europe.



HUAWEI and BAIC Deepen Collaboration on Stelato Brand with Full-Ecosystem Partnership  


HUAWEI and BAIC Group announced a strengthened strategic partnership focused on the Stelato brand on September 15. The collaboration has been elevated to a “carmaker + HUAWEI’s full technology ecosystem” model, emphasizing five dedicated systems: specialized R&D resources, an exclusive manufacturing and supply chain framework, a dual quality inspection mechanism, and a dedicated sales network. The companies revealed that the partnership takes immediate effect, with plans to invest RMB 20 billion (approx. USD 2.8 billion) over the next three years.



Zeekr Shareholders Approve Merger Agreement with Geely Automobile with Overwhelming Majority  


A special general meeting of Zeekr Intelligent Technology Holding Limited was held on September 15, during which shareholders voted to approve several proposals. This included the merger agreement and plan dated July 15, 2025, with Geely Automobile Holdings Limited, which received 94.2% of the votes in favor. Upon completion of the merger, Zeekr will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Geely Automobile and will cease to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
