Yangwang U9 Xtreme Limited to 30 Units Globally  

On September 20, Yangwang announced the launch of its track-focused special edition, the Yangwang U9 Xtreme (U9X), limited to 30 units worldwide. Each vehicle will receive a bespoke customization package. This month, the U9X set a new global top speed record of 496.22 km/h, surpassing all existing fuel-powered models. Additionally, the brand disclosed its Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of 6 minutes 59.157 seconds. The model is built on the world’s first mass-produced 1200V ultra-high-voltage platform, equipped with four high-performance motors capable of 30,000 rpm, delivering over 3,000 Ps and a power-to-weight ratio of 1,217 Ps/t. It also incorporates the e4 + Yunjian-X technology, derived from the standard U9, introducing advanced body posture control adapted for track use.

2026 Avatr 07 Launched from RMB 219,900 (approx. USD 30,500)  

Avatr introduced the 2026 Avatr 07 on September 20, offering six variants including both EREV and BEV powertrains, with prices ranging from RMB 219,900 to 279,900 (approx. USD 30,500–38,900). The model comes standard with Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 and HarmonySpace 5 cockpit system. It is optionally equipped with a 52 kWh CATL Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery, delivering a CLTC pure electric range of up to 333 km and a total range of 1,200 km. The vehicle supports 5C fast charging with a peak power of 290 kW. It is now available on Huawei Mall’s “Qiankun Intelligent Driving” section, with OTA-upgradable features including emergency steering assist and remote parking.

GAC Xiangwang S9 Qiankun Debuts at RMB 229,900 (approx. USD 31,900)  

GAC launched the Xiangwang S9 Qiankun on September 19, releasing four variants across five- and six-seat layouts, priced between RMB 229,900 and 259,900 (approx. USD 31,900–36,100). The vehicle features Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 Max as standard, incorporating a 192-line LiDAR with a 250-meter detection range and three 4D millimeter-wave radars with 280-meter forward perception. Powered by a 44.5 kWh CATL NMC battery, it offers a CLTC range of 252 km and supports 14-minute ultra-fast charging. The model also includes GAC’s intelligent all-wheel drive, preview damping system, and the ASTC 2.0 stability control for enhanced off-road capability.

New Deepal S07 Launched with Starting Price of RMB 156,900 (approx. USD 21,800)  

The new Deepal S07 debuted on September 19 in five variants, all equipped with Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 SE, with prices from RMB 156,900 to 173,900 (approx. USD 21,800–24,200). The model offers both all-electric and EREV options. The extended-range version uses a 1.5L range extender with a system output of 174 kW and a fuel consumption of 3.8L/100 km when operating without charge. The BEV variant employs a 200 kW electric motor offering a CLTC range of 550 km.

WeRide’s Robobus Secures Belgium’s First Federal L4 Autonomous Testing Permit  

WeRide announced on September 19 that its autonomous minibus, Robobus, obtained Belgium’s first federal-level L4 autonomous driving test license. With this approval, WeRide becomes the only tech company globally to hold autonomous driving permits in seven countries, including Belgium, China, France, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and the United States.

Li Auto and CATL Form Comprehensive Strategic Partnership  

Li Auto recently signed a five-year comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with CATL and held an official authorization ceremony. The two parties will collaborate deeply on battery safety and ultra-fast charging technology, jointly expanding domestic and international operations while promoting innovation and global deployment of battery technology. CATL will supply Li Auto’s full vehicle lineup with high-performance, high-safety power battery systems, including NMC, M3P, LFP, and sodium-ion batteries.
