Huawei Unveils ADS 5 and HarmonySpace 6 Solutions

Huawei officially launched several next-generation solutions at the Huawei Qiankun Technology Conference on April 23. The debut included the Huawei ADS 5 intelligent driving system, HarmonySpace 6 cockpit, and the AMS three-in-one in-cabin AI multi-modal perception system. Hardware innovations featured dual 17.2-inch "Butterfly Wing" screens, LCoS dual-focal AR-HUD, and the HUAWEI XPIXEL million-pixel color intelligent headlight module. Additionally, the HUAWEI XSCENE LCoS vehicle projection optical engine was introduced as part of the brand's expanded technical portfolio.

The conference highlighted specific model applications for these technologies. The AISTALAND GT7 (Chinese: 启境GT7) was announced as the first model to feature ADS 5 and the HarmonySpace Xiaoyi AI agent. This vehicle also debuts the new Huawei Chitu platform and the HUAWEI XMC 3.0 digital chassis engine. Simultaneously, the Yijing X9 made its premiere appearance, characterized by its flagship dimensions including a body length of 5301mm and a wheelbase of 3120mm.

Chery and NVIDIA Establish Global Strategic AI Cooperation

On April 23, Chery Automobile and NVIDIA entered into a global strategic partnership focused on auxiliary driving, cockpit AI, and robotics. This collaboration aims to deploy physical AI across Chery's global operations, facilitating a comprehensive technical layout from cloud to vehicle. For autonomous driving, Chery will adopt the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion platform for L3 and L4 intelligent vehicles destined for the Chinese market. DRIVE Hyperion serves as a production-ready platform and reference architecture specifically designed for Level 4 autonomous driving capabilities.

The partnership also involves the use of NVIDIA toolchains, including Alpamayo and Cosmos, to allow Chery to develop its own independent autonomous driving software stack. In the cockpit AI sector, Chery intends to utilize NVIDIA DRIVE to create a new generation of intelligent user experiences. Beyond automotive applications, the cooperation extends to embodied intelligence, featuring humanoid robots and diversified robotic platforms built on the NVIDIA Jetson platform. According to Cherry, this move is intended to accelerate Chery's global business expansion while ensuring autonomous control over core technical innovations.

Global Automotive Production and Sales Report for 2025

The "2025 Global Production and Sales Data Report" was released on April 23 during the Global and Chinese Automotive Industry Development Report Meeting. The data indicates that global automotive production reached 96.4 million units in 2025, while total sales amounted to 99.8 million units. Despite the overall growth trend, the report noted significant regional differentiation. Market recovery has been uneven, with some regions experiencing steady growth while others faced downward pressure due to economic factors and fluctuating consumer demand.

According to the report, mature markets struggled with weakened demand, policy uncertainties, and high transition costs. In contrast, the primary drivers for global growth originated from Asia and emerging industrial centers. China remained the most prominent contributor to these figures, maintaining its position as the world's largest automotive market.
