CPCA: July NEV Wholesale Sales Hit 1.18 Million Units with 25% YoY Growth  


The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) estimates July 2025 wholesale sales of new energy passenger vehicles reached 1.18 million units—a 25% year-on-year increase despite a 4% month-on-month dip. Cumulative January-July wholesale volume totaled 7.63 million units, reflecting 35% growth over the same period last year.  



IM Motors Launches Stellar Super Range-Extender with CATL's 66kWh Battery  


IM Motors has debuted its Stellar Super Range-Extender system featuring the industry's largest dedicated range-extender battery. Co-developed with CATL, the 66kWh "Super Xiaoyao MAX" battery enables over 450km CLTC pure-electric range and 1,500km+ total range. The technology premieres in the next-generation IM LS6 on August 15, followed by the flagship six-seat IM LS9 SUV in Q4 2025.



BYD Unveils Patent for Integrated Charging-Inflation Robot  


Last Friday, BYD has disclosed a "Robot" patent enabling automated charging and tire inflation without vehicle modifications. The system utilizes intelligent positioning, precision docking, and closed-loop control to simultaneously recharge batteries and adjust tire pressure. This dual-function technology reduces operational costs while enhancing safety through real-time monitoring, positioning BYD at the forefront of autonomous maintenance solutions for commercial fleets and consumer vehicles alike.



Dongfeng Solid-State Battery Achieves 1,000km Range for 2026 Production  


Recently, Dongfeng eπ CEO Wang Junjun confirmed the automaker's solid-state battery will enter mass production in 2026, delivering 350Wh/kg energy density and 1,000km+ range. The technology maintains 70% range retention at -30°C and completes 10–80% charging in 12 minutes. Simultaneously, Dongfeng announced a 2026 launch window for its full-size intelligent SUV co-developed with Huawei, featuring Huawei ADS 4.0 and HarmonySpace 5.
