CPCA Forecasts June NEV Sales to Hit 1.1M with 55% Penetration

The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) projects June passenger vehicle retail sales at approximately 2 million units (+13.4% YoY, +3.2% MoM), driven by intensified manufacturer promotions averaging 24.8% discounts. Leading automakers targeting 15% YoY growth account for over 80% of volume. NEV sales are expected to reach 1.1 million units, lifting penetration to 55% as subsidy cuts and new model launches stimulate demand.  


VOYAH FREE+ Rolls Off Production Line with Huawei ADS 4

The first production VOYAH FREE+ SUV—branded as a "smart luxury five-seater"—debuted at VOYAH’s intelligent assembly plant on June 21. Equipped with Huawei’s QIANKUN ADS 4 and HarmonySpace 5 cockpit, it offers 300+ km pure electric range and 1,400+ km total range using CATL’s 45 kWh LFP battery. The model emphasizes fast-charging durability and safety ahead of its June 24 pre-sales launch at 16:00 pm Beijing Time.  


Hello Inc. Secures Over RMB 3B for Robotaxi Venture with Ant, CATL

Hello Inc. entered the autonomous ride-hailing sector on June 23 via Shanghai Zaofu Intelligent Technology—a JV co-funded by Ant Group and CATL with RMB 1.288 billion registered capital. The entity, backed by over RMB 3 billion (USD 417 million) in initial funding, will develop L4 autonomous technologies for commercial deployment. Shareholders include Ant’s Shanghai Yuncheng (40%), Hello’s Shanghai Junha (35%), and CATL’s Ningbo Meishan Wending (25%).
