Dongfeng Honda CR-V "30 Years Global Edition" Launches at RMB 145,900 (approx. USD 20,500)  


On September 22, Dongfeng Honda introduced the CR-V "30 Years Global Edition," with a limited-time starting price of RMB 145,900 (approx. USD 20,500). The model features the upgraded HondaCONNECT 4.0 intelligent connectivity system, which includes Baidu Navigation 6.0 supporting smart destination recommendations and traffic light countdown displays. Newly added features comprise Tmall Genie connectivity and intelligent schedule management. Power options include both gasoline and hybrid variants, with the latter equipped with a fourth-generation i-MMD system offering EV, hybrid, and engine-direct drive modes. WLTC combined fuel consumption is rated at 5.49L/100km.



RELY Weilin R08 Launched with Prices Starting at RMB 88,800 (approx. USD 12,500)  


The RELY Weilin R08, the first global strategic pickup under Chery Holding's RELY Weilin brand, has officially entered the market. Offered in eight configurations powered by a 2.4L gasoline or 2.3T diesel engine, prices range from RMB 88,800 to 149,800 (approx. USD 12,500–21,100). The model features a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission and BorgWarner part-time 4WD system, delivering 420 N·m of peak torque at 1,500 rpm for balanced on-road refinement and off-road capability. A 15.6-inch Retina-level display paired with an 8155 chip enables functions including 540° surround-view imaging, remote control, and global pre-conditioning.



Ministry of Commerce of China: August NEV Passenger Vehicle Sales Up 7.5% YoY, Penetration Rate Reaches 55.2%  


According to a September 22 release from Ministry of Commerce of China, China’s consumer market maintained stable operation in August, with steady growth in goods consumption and accelerated sales of trade-in-related products. Data from the China Automobile Dealers Association shows retail sales of passenger vehicles increased 4.6% year-on-year during the month, driven by expanding digital, green, and health-conscious consumption. Notably, new energy passenger vehicle sales rose 7.5% year-on-year, with the penetration rate reaching 55.2%.



Chery Automobile Completed its Public-offer Subscription on 22 September.  


According to reports, Chery Automobile has completed the bookbuilding phase of its initial public offering on 21 September. On 22 September Chery fixed its Hong Kong IPO price at HK$30.75 per share and will place roughly 330 million new shares, raising about HK$10.1 billion. The company will announce the final offer price, the level of applications under the Hong Kong public offering and the extent of international take-up on 24 September, with trading in Chery’s H shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange commencing 25 September.
