Chery's JETOUR Unveils "Water-Land-Air" All-Terrain Vehicles, Targets Luxury Off-Road Segment
On January 22, Chery Automobile’s sub-brand JETOUR launched its luxury off-road SUV lineup, Zongheng. The Zongheng lineup showcase three models: the rugged SUVs G700 and G900, and the pickup truck F700. The three models is created to rival with million-level luxury off-road SUVs, such as Mercedes-banz’s G-class, and BYD’s Yangwang U8.
Yin Yongyue, Chairman of Chery Automobile, also stated that JETOUR Zongheng aims to become China's answer to the "G-Wagen".
The most impressive feature about the three models is that they are "all-terrain" vehicles, being able to navigate water, land, and air. It is reported that these vehicles boast excellent off-road capabilities, emergency amphibious floating functions, and integrated drone systems.
Surprisingly, the vehicles are equipped with Zongheng Stress-Relief Intelligent Oxygen Chamber with emergency oxygen supply capabilities. You will not fear when you are travelling in high-altitude areas.
How powerful will they be?
Thanks to the Kunpeng Super Hybrid CDM-O and the Zongheng Amphibious Gold Range Extender CEM-O, the vehicles have maximum power output of 155 Kw, a peak torque of 340 Nm, a thermal efficiency of 45.5%.
The Zongheng lineup is weak on intelligence. The company mentioned that the vehicles will be equipped with Huawei's Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 3.0, which supporting:
- Highway navigation
- Urban navigation
- Automated parking
- Integrate drone technology
Launch Plan
According to the company, the first model to meet consumers will be the G700, with its official launch scheduled for the third quarter of 2025 in Dubai.
