FAW-Volkswagen's First Export Vehicles Roll Off Production Line  


On September 23, FAW-Volkswagen held a ceremony at its Changchun plant to mark the completion of its first batch of vehicles for export. A total of 554 Magotans and Sagitars will be shipped from Shanghai Port on September 28, with sales set to begin in the Middle East in November. This initial export initiative represents a historic breakthrough in FAW-Volkswagen’s global business development, signifying an important step for China’s automotive industry, particularly joint ventures, toward international expansion.



Mercedes-Benz Partners with ByteDance on AI; All-Electric CLA with Doubao Model to Launch This Autumn  


Mercedes-Benz and ByteDance announced a strategic cooperation on September 23, covering areas including intelligent driving, smart cockpits, AI R&D, digital marketing, and customer operations. The collaboration aims to accelerate the integration and innovative application of AI technologies. The first Mercedes model equipped with ByteDance’s Doubao large language model—the all-electric CLA—is scheduled to go on sale this autumn.



Geely Xingrui and Xingyue L “Oriental Glory” Editions Launch with Limited-Time Prices from RMB 93,700  


Geely introduced the new Xingrui and Xingyue L “Oriental Glory” editions on September 23. The Xingrui model is offered at limited-time prices ranging from RMB 93,700 to 133,700 (approx. USD 13,000–18,600), while the Xingyue L variant is priced between RMB 145,700 and 166,700 (approx. USD 20,200–23,100). Two additional existing Xingyue L configurations remain available at RMB 147,700 to 156,700 (approx. USD 20,500–21,800). The Xingrui offers either a 2.0T or 1.5T engine, while the Xingyue L “Oriental Glory” is powered by a high-output turbocharged 2.0T unit delivering 200 kW and 400 N·m, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and achieving 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds.



Chery Automobile Allotment Results Announced; Subscription Volume Reaches Nearly HKD 220 Billion  


According to Livermore Securities, Chery Automobile’s share allotment results were released on September 23. The offering was oversubscribed by more than 238 times, with total subscription volume approaching HKD 220 billion.
